Charles, My Elon Hero

Charles

Charles

Flew out to UCLA to watch Elon fall 4-0 to #1 in the country.  Was UCLA really that much better?  Not really.  But they dot the I’s and cross the T’s in such a way that it’s understandable why they are #1.  I am extremely proud of my Velezian boys all across the country who have brought me so much pride and joy for the past four years of their college play (With T left to go).  No one more than Charles who has always played second fiddle to every other player he has moved along with and who in the end always ends up establishing himself as a must go to player.

When Charles arrived at Velez, it was cause I wanted Gogo.  I was like, What the fuck am I going to do with this kid?  His old coach and my friend said, relax, I promise you, he will be on your field every minute of every game.  Give it time.  I did, and he was.  He went to Otero and his coach called me asking, What the fuck am I going to do with this kid?  I told him, relax, he’ll be on your field every minute of every game.  And he was.  Team captain.

He went to Elon and the body language from coach read, What the fuck am I going to do with this kid?  And as usual, he ended up on the field every minute of every game.  Watching him play against UCLA, and being THE player to change the game against Clemson and the player to most show his athleticisim and competitiveness against UCLA, I say to you now Charles, move on to the pro’s so a new coach can ask, What the fuck am I going to do with this kid?
