Amherst loses to Williams in PK’s after dominating the game in a 0-0 tie

Amherst (the lone Velez D3) finishes the season undefeated in regulation play.


Elon loses to Coastal Carolina 3-0 and exits NCAA’s

Brown beats Drexel 2-0 in opening round of NCAA’s

Brown loses to Maryland 2-1 with 90th minute goal after Brown should have won

Wake loses to the same Coastal Carolina team that beat Elon 2-1



3 D1 Velezians get Clustered in the Same Bracket Leg

Elon has a replay against Coastal Carolina with the winner playing Wake

Brown plays Drexel with the winner playing Maryland.

There is a possibility for Brown to play Elon or Wake in a Velez match up which has never happened in either D1 or D3 NCCA’s.

Julien and Milton – Amherst got a bye for first round of NCAA’s and thrashed Dickinson 4-0 in second round
Got to see this game.  Milton and Julien were amazing playing every meaningful minute until the final goal was scored.

Evan – Vassar beat Tufts 1-0 in first round of NCAA’s
Vassar loses to Brandeis in the second round of NCAA’s
I was there for Brandeis.  Vassar looked good and could have won.  Evan was his usual dynamic self.  End of seaon.

Max – Carnegie beats Morrisville 3-0 in the first round of NCAA’s
Carnegie loses to Ohio Northern 3-1 to end season

Kevin – Babson loses to Colorado College 3-1 in first round of NCAA’s to end season

Sulli and RIT ended season as did Ian and Catholic

D1 Players
Danny and Charles – Elon beats GA Southern 1-0 in SoCon Semis
Elon beats Wofford 2-1 (Billy Padula) in SoCon Finals
Elon is an auto-qualifier to NCAA tourney

Tolani – Wake loses in PK’s to UVA after 2-2 Tie.  Now awaits NCAA at large bid

Voltaire – Brown loses to Dartmouth 2-1 and must now await an NCAA at large bid

Patrick – Princeton beats Yale to end season 1-0

Jonny – Penn beats Harvard 3-1 for its first and only Ivy win ending the season

Petey and Cinci ended their season as did Michael and Navy


Four Velezians make NCAA D3 Tourney

UAA leads the way with 5 teams from conference in D3 NCAA Tourney. For Velez it’s Vassar, Amherst, Carnegie, and Babson.

Tough weekend for most Velezians.  Out side of Amherst and Elon, the only way to get a win was to have them go head to head.  But many great accomplishments in regular season records.

Danny and Charles  – Elon ties Duke 0-0 to finish the regular season

Elon wins round 1 of SoCon against Davidson 2-1

Petey – Cinci loses to Marquette in 1st round of Big East 3-0

Evan – Vassar wins Liberty semis 3-1 over Union

Vassar loses in PK’s in Liberty finals to RPI and awaits NCAA’s at large bids – Evan named Liberty Conference All Tournament Team

Ian – Scranton beats Catholic 2-1 in Landmark Semis ending Catholic’s season

Kevin – Babson loses to MIT in NEWMAC in PK’s after 2-2 tie

Julien and Milton – Amherst wins NESCAC semis 1-0 over Wesleyan

Julien named to Academic All District team (only 3 NESCAC players nominated)

Amherst wins NESCAC beating Williams 2-0

Max – Carnegie loses to Emory 1-0 in a cool game to watch as it was very tactical but Carnegie wins the automatic NCAA bid.  Congrats Max

Jonny and Patrick – Princeton beats Penn 3-0

Voltaire – Brown ties Yale 1-1 making the Ivy League very tight
